I Got a Scholarship!!!
What a surprise this afternoon when I logged on to my university’s financial center just to see that I have been awarded a half tuition scholarship for this coming school year! I guess good grades really do pay off! So, how can you earn a scholarship too? Check out these great places to look:
- Your university. This is where I got my scholarship. Most universities offer a wide range of scholarships for their students. These are awarded for good grades, financial need, service, athletics, and many other reasons. Remember, it never hurts to apply for these!
- Your local newspaper. Many local scholarships are easier to win than national ones since there is less competition. Check out your local newspaper to see if any are advertised!
- Online. There are many places to search for scholarships online. One of the most popular free scholarship search engines is Fastweb.com. I have used it myself and I find it very easy to use and useful.
